Spear Machine - Established in 1980

First started and ran by Dwight Spear in 1980, the business was originally named "Spear & Sons" Until it was purchased by Chris Probst in spring 2005. The business is now ran by the Probst brothers, Chris and Andrew. The Probst family line has machinist going back to the 1960's. Herbert Probst (Chris and Andrew's Grandfather) was a machinist for Caterpillar in Illinois, and Donald Probst(Chris and Andrew's uncle), was a machinist in California and Oklahoma. Sitting on the work bench and still in use, is a S-K toolbox which belonged to Herbert and was passed down to Donald and has now been passed down again, along with tools that are still in use.

Today Spear Machine LLC primary products are valves for the energy industry and specializes in interior valve machining such as replaceable seats and dovetail groves for o-ring seals. As well as many other valve parts and applications.
